L’ACDIQ’s (Association des jeunes Chercheurs de l'Institut JacQues-Monod) aim is to promote the insertion of undergraduates and PhD students of the Institut Jacques-Monod in the research environment.

Support and training

Since its creation in June 1996, ACDIQ has promoted the links between students and researchers thanks to the organization of social events and the creation of a student mailing list favoring the exchange of practical information.
The student’s follow-up has been reinforced with the tutorial system and the welcoming week for newly arrived PhD students. Furthermore, the association has supported the creation of a “bourse de soudure” which helps out PhD students without any other funding during their 3 or 4 last months of thesis.

Scientific life

To reinforce scientific dynamism, we support young researchers of the Institute who wish to invite scientists to give conferences at the Institute.
Since 2008 we have co-organized the “Journées des jeunes chercheurs d’Île de France” with the young researchers association of the Curie Institute.

Professional orientation

To provide students with all the necessary keys concerning their professional perspectives, we organize round tables on the recruitment in the public sector (CNRS, Inserm, University) and a day’s conference concerning “Young researchers and companies”.

The association’s internet site (http://acdiq.free.fr) is an portal open to all kind of questions and remarks from students, research centers and industrials.
